I would have initiated to meet you in person had I come across your site while I was in Beijing a few months ago. 
 
 
 
I was born and raised in China and have been living in the states for over 20 years, which got me able to understand and appreciate how China, its people and its language being seen from your point of view. I am with you, 哥们儿! 
 
 
 
If I do go back to China someday soon, I might try to get hold of you, introduce some of my buddies in Beijing to you, you know, hangout, 喝酒！ 
 
 
 
You reminded me of my college years in the early 80’s - 北师大， where I met a lot of American students like yourself (and ended up married one of the girls) and I have to say when they pointed out the “funny” stuff they saw in China I couldn’t get it. What can I say? I was a 井里的蛤蟆. 
 
 
 
Another reason I responded to your blog perhaps is that I taught a few years of Chinese in the early 90’s at a private high school in Southern California and I have recently had this renewed passion for getting back into it. I am a lifetime learner of the English language myself and keep improving it is always my thing and this experience really makes me believe that language learning can be, should be and must be made fun and exciting, especially the way you guys do it!
